Our Motto:

Rooted in Christ, Clothed in Strength, Abounding in Love"

Our Purpose:

Christian Military Wives is a ministry of Christian Military Fellowship that unites wives of US uniformed service men to equip and inspire one another to live as ambassadors to our families and communities in service that builds the Body of Christ as we seek to live in maturing love and growing knowledge of the Son of God.

Our Mission:

"So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live you lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." Colossians 2:6-7

Our Logo:

The brown of the feminine form, combined with the leaves, hints to the strength of a tree that rises up to provide shade to those nearby, and a safe home to those who would abide within.

The woman we see stands with arms raised to God as she offers herself, and all she does, to God. With one hand closed in a fist of strength and power that says she is stronger than her circumstances, she also extends an open hand of welcome, friendship, and love.

The leaves that surround her are the lives that God affects through her. The cross within her reminds us that all of this is only possible when Christ dwells within us and is the reason, inspiration, purpose, and goal of all that we do.

The purple of our page and of our logo text is a nod to the military heritage that has brought us together. A military installation which includes the support of all of the Uniformed Service --Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard-- is more commonly referred to as a "Purple Installation" or a "Purple Base". In the use of this purple we show that we are made up of wives of every military service.

We also have Membership

So what does becoming a CMWF member mean?

Well, first off, it means joining one thousand other women who have declared that they love the Lord and are willing to take the gospel to our United States Military and advance His kingdom there.

It also means that you'll have FULL access to our entire website. That's right! There's hidden gems reserved for our members only. We have military relevant books, browse small groups, become a part of our prayer team, and more.

Meet the CMWF Team

Each person on our volunteer staff is or has been a military wife so we know, oh we know the ups and downs, the ins and outs of this crazy race we're running in the military. You can find a little bit about each of us below. If you'd like to join our team, let us know-we can find spot for you! Visit our SERVE page to find out more.

I, myself, was an active duty US Navy Sailor when I met my husband in the Navy Bachelor's Enlisted Quarters (BEQ) in Misawa, Japan. We were actually in a position that required us to request permission to get married. The first request was denied. The second time, "The paperwork got lost". The 3rd time was the charm! Twenty years later, though, I can honestly say that the one year fight was well worth it. Our family now also includes four children--Jon; Ryan; Emily; and Annaliese. Also, we are blessed with one granddaughter.

Japan is also where I 'became a Christian'. To me, being a Christian is to admit that I can't live my life to my own standards, much less live my life to God's standards. It's simply admitting that I need God's help to live the life I long to live,  knowing that I can have His help everyday because of the sacrificial death and restored life of Jesus Christ that I will always be grateful for. It is allowing God to fill my life with His grace--helping me to see where I'm wrong; pointing me back to Christ; drawing me into His Word and helping me to live in love.

I could share many stories of how life--especially in military families--doesn't work according to our ideals. I could share more stories of how God helps us to overcome all of the struggles, pains, tears, and loneliness. Mostly, I share many stories of how God has changed my life and made it into the life that I live in joy and victory! I have learned that coming together with other followers of Jesus.

Christ helps me to stay focused on living the life that God equips me for and also helps me to celebrate the victories and withstand everything else. That's why I thank God for allowing me to serve here, at Christian Military Wives Fellowship, with YOU. I am thankful to share this journey with you. I hope to help build, pass on, and celebrate a common faith with you. In some ways we all share very different experiences. In many ways we all share the same journey.  In all ways, we all share the same destination.

I am a writer, teacher, and wife of an Army National Guard soldier in Michigan.  My husband Dave and I met at Michigan State University, we are lifelong Spartan fans (go green!).  We were actively involved with Cru, a campus ministry group, throughout college, and it was there that we learned what it means to follow Jesus with our whole lives. We've been married for three years, and have been through one deployment so far. Being a military wife has stretched me and caused me to learn to trust God with everything- all of my plans, and all of my fears. Through our first deployment, God faithfully showed Himself as my rock and my refuge.  I love being a part of the "Army family", and I have been so blessed by the love and support of other military wives through some really difficult times. God has given me a passion to encourage other military wives through writing and truth from God's word.

My hubby and I have been married a little over two years. We met in 2008 and have been inseparable {minus the deployments} since then. We married in January in 2011 and immediately became pregnant with our daughter, Evelyn, haha!!! When I came to Christ in April of 2009, I had been dealing with nearly 30 years of oppression, depression, low self-esteem and plenty of insecurities. I felt as though I had been chained and shackled to the ground, carrying such afflictions and heavy burdens. When I finally gave up and allowed God to reign in my life, I’ve never felt so free and beautiful. I never knew how much God loved me during all of my battles until I surrendered.

My life as an army wife has been on a fast track of many testimonies. I feel as though I get to rewrite my story, no matter what comes about. For a recent example, since this is technically mine and my husband’s 7 deployment together {several short deployments}, instead of pulling out all my hair, my daughter and I will be on an adventurous journey back to our old duty station where my sister and great church family awaits us. I am deeply saddened for my husband to deploy again since he just got home barely a year ago and we just PCS’ed to Kansas, but I know God has great things in store for us in the next year. The many emotions, moves, training, deployments, abrupt choices that have come our way, I am still glad and proud to say how blessed I am to experience this all as an army wife.

I have been a military wife since 2004 and the Lord has blessed us with 5 children to serve alongside us.  My husband loves being a soldier and I couldn’t ask him to be or do anything else!  Being a military wife definitely brings about many challenges, but nothing that the Lord hasn’t spoken about in His word. Through the military lifestyle, God has become real and present to me, for this I will always be thankful to the military. I am happy to serve our CMWF community, ministering to my sisters who are in need of a little encouragement and direction. There is enough of God’s grace to cover all separations, missed birthdays, late nights, and distance from loved ones.

I have been an Army wife for 9 years, and have 2 boys. Outside of my home and the military, I serve as a Committee member for Younglife, spreading the gospel to teenagers on their own high school turf. Being a military wife means that God has called my family to serve as a missionary team all over the United States. I live my life with a view similar to Paul's in Acts 26:29. In this passage, Paul is responding to King Agrippa after the king asked if Paul really thought he could persuade him to believe in Christ in only a short amount of time. "...Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am—except for these chains.” We are stationed and re-stationed, and Whether it is a TDY trip, PCS, or retirement, we are to proclaim the gospel with faith and determination.

I have been connected to the military all of my life and most branches; as an Airforce brat , active duty Army nurse myself, spouse of a career/ret Marine aviator (22 yrs) and 2 sons who are now active duty Marines. We got married to glorify the LORD TOGETHER, as one, which doesn't always mean being in the same city, when you are associated with the military. Our verse is, Ps 34:3 , O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt HIS NAME together! We both have a heart for reaching our world for Christ, to know Him and make Him known and that has been our goal for over 35 yrs.We have burden for the military community, ALL marriages in particular. It's been an awesome adventure being used by God together. We have 3 kids 31, 30, 26 and I enjoy being the mom of three great young adults! I also enjoy being a helpmate ,writing, encouraging, cooking, reading, women's ministry and being the daughter of an awesome KING!

I'm Laurie, a Christian military wife, who has been blessed beyond measure by our military lifestyle. I am so thankful for the opportunity to meet and fellowship with other military spouses. I try to daily to serve as the hands and feet of Jesus by trying to impact the lives of those around me, to glorify Him. I've been married to my amazing husband, Bill, for 14 years. He has been in the US Air Force for 17 years. We have 3 kids, two boys and a girl. We have lived all over the world and are so thankful to have the opportunity to experience new cultures. We've experienced many joys, as well as many obstacles with the military lifestyle, but we wouldn't change it for anything. My hope is that by sharing our experiences it will encourage and instill hope in others.

I met my husband, Kenny Crawford, at Texas A&M and we've been married for 27 years.  We have three kids, Correy who is 23, and twins Caitlyn and Christyn who are 20. My husband was in the Army for 26 years as an Engineer officer and just retired last Nov.  We have settled down in Texas after being stationed at Ft Hood for our last duty station and hope to move to our final home in this area of Central Texas one day soon.

I feel that being a military wife has made me a much stronger and confident person through all of the deployments.  And I know that I have a much stronger faith and a much deeper relationship with Christ because of my time as a military wife.  We absolutely couldn't have survived the deployments and training without God at the center of our lives!  I also feel that being in the military provided us the opportunity to share God's love with many others just like a missionary as we moved from place to place!

I also just finished six months of chemo and am looking forward to seeing what God has in store for me now that I'm on the road to recovery! :-)

I'm from Los Angeles, CA and began serving with Christian Military Wives Fellowship (CMWF) September of 2012. I find it a true honor to volunteer my time. I graduated from nursing school in 2004 and my hobbies include listening to gospel music, dancing, reading, writing, running, swimming, sewing, tea parties, sugar and spice and everything nice. Me and my husband, Lamont of 8 years, currently reside in the city of Everett, located in beautiful Washington State. We are the proud parents of 1 prince and 2 princesses; Cashius, Jayda and little Makayla. I strive each and every day to live the Gospel of Christ in my life as a Navy wife. I once lived my life far apart from Christ until He shined His light in all of my darkness. I'm truly grateful to be saved by grace. A woman on a mission to live a life of love and impact this world for Jesus.
